Overcome Addiction - Genetic Misfortune or Misconception

You know, some authorities have posed the theory of being genetically predisposed to addiction. In other words, if either of your parents have had an addiction then it is quite likely that you may as well. This theory is based on the premise that a chemical imbalance in the brain that causes the addiction is passed down genetically from parent to child. Simply put, it runs in the family! You know, western society, allopathic medicine and science communities like to find one specific biophysical cause for every problem that we face. However, we as human beings are a much more complex grid of energy and emotion than just a bio mechanic machine of muscles, bone and skin!

Lets go back to the root cause of all addiction for a moment, which is the need to mask the pain of underlying emotional scars caused by family dysfunction. You see, I believe that there is something passed down from generation to generation. However, it is not Genetic predisposition! Its called family dysfunction. Remember, if the cycle of this dysfunction is not broken it shall be repeated over and over again from one generation to the next. If you understand the root cause of addiction, then you can then question why one of the parents has had an addiction? Odds are that the parent was masking the pain of an underlying scar that was created by family dysfunction handed down from his or her parent! But, why is it that some siblings will not make the choice of addiction and yet others will? In all likelihood you will find that the sibling that hasn't made a choice to mask the pain with self destructive behavior has decided to confront a deal with the family dysfunction. So, if you want to free yourself from addiction permanently uncover those hidden blind-spots or dysfunctions and put them to rest once and for all!!
